This is more of a genera question about installation. I have 6 servers, 3 of them I am planing on configuring with Proxmox cluster and run in HA (and expand over time), the remaining 3 I was planing to get Ceph on. I have read that Ceph can be installed and managed by Proxmox and I assume that the advantage of it is that it can be managed by the Proxmoxe's GUI.
1. Would there be any other advantages, assuming above setup ?
2. Can a 3 node Proxmox HA cluster I mentioned connect to different Proxmox cluster with just Ceph on it, and use Ceph storage on it ?
3. ...or should I just not bother with Proxmox/Ceph and install Ceph on some distro and manage it from there ?
What is your experience? Any advice is appreciated.
