We are going to migrate to proxmox due to the purchase of VMware by Broadcom (we are one of those affected).
Due to the low budget, and after doing a lot of research, it is clear to me that I should use SSD.
My intention is to use the proxmox gui to do it, but my question is the following:
I have 8 nodes with 3 500GB disks to be osd and others for the system.
Then 2 cabins with 22 1TB disks.
Knowing that all the nodes can be mixed, would it be very affected if one of the cabins goes down? or would you need 3 cabins?
Another thing, 10 Gbps link per node, but for ceph and other things. This is because our cloud provider (dedibox scaleway)
Wan 500mbps
Best regards.
