In searching for information on this, what I found seems to more than a little confusing.
This thread says 'solved' https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/trim-discard-with-ceph-rbd.77756/ .. but it seems like an awkward work around. I found this too: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/ceph-command-to-enable-trim.117523/ and ran the command given. No indication if anything changed or not though.
I guess my question is really, is Ceph/RBD trim/discard working properly these days or do people have issues with it?
My cluster and VMs are relatively new (within the last 3 weeks) but I'd like to get ahead of any creeping disk space problems that may occur if left unchecked.
Curious to know the group-mind's thoughts on it
