Ceph journal and monitor questions

Hello,

Journal:
If I set up a PCIe-SSD (for example Intel SSD DC P3700 400GB) for Journal, how many (SSD-)OSDs can/should it handle?

Monitor:
Does a Ceph-Monitor require also ultra fast SSDs? Would there be performance advantage if I use a PCIe-SSD instead of a "regular" Enterprise-SSD?

Hi,

the ceph guys are talking about 12 osd.

The monitor will benefit form low latency.
