First, the environment is a super simple, 1 host, home lab.
1 X Dell R710
16 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5550 @ 2.67GHz (2 Sockets)
96 GB DDR3 ECC RAM
6 x 160GB SSD (RAID 6)
4 x GB NIC
1 x Synology RS2414RP
12 x 4TB (Raid 6)
Bonded 4 x 1 Gbit NICs
All storage, except for local VM storage, is on the Synology. This includes templates, backups, ISO's, etc etc. The necessary share folder is linked to Proxmox using NFS.
I setup a Linux VM using Ubuntu 16.04 ISO from the share yesterday without a problem.
I then updated Proxmox (because I forgot to before building the first VM). Let it rest overnight. This morning I'm trying to create a Windows 7 VM, and for the life of me, I can't get ProxMox to create a CDROM device for the VM from the ISO in the same store as the Ubuntu ISO.
There's nothing in the GUI logs saying anything failed; it's almost like I never tried to create the device at all. I hit ok, and nothing happens. Then, of course, the VM just loops as there's nothing to boot from.
Ay ideas on what may be going on or where to look further for error details?
Thanks.
