Catch 22 backing up a firewall....

A fun small catch 22 situation I managed to create. I've set up a PBS outside my network, and tried to backup my firewall which is running in a vm on PVE.
That ended up with a 1 minute timeout trying to connect to the PBS....

HA setup with CARP or something like keepalived should solve this issue.
Otherwise I suggest to include the firewalls on weekly backups and do config backups another way. This way you can even avoid daily timeouts and connection loss because of the IP failover. If you want to go advanced you can sync firewall states and should be fine without connection losses.

It's a home lab setup, and I have other methods to backup the firewall. That being said, I think that the problem here is a task order problem that should be fixed just to avoid other similar problems.

I do backup my firewall-VM as well (pfSense)... no problem at all....
