Hi
One of my Proxmox Hosts has 12 physical network ports but I can only see 10 of them in the web interface (see attached screen capture). However, I can see 12 of them when I view the following file:

root@proxmox1:~# cat /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
# This file was automatically generated by the /lib/udev/write_net_rules
# program, run by the persistent-net-generator.rules rules file.
#
# You can modify it, as long as you keep each rule on a single
# line, and change only the value of the NAME= key.

-------------------------
Is there a limit to the number of physical network ports Proxmox will use?
Thanks

Hi Dietmar. I also have this issue. Proxmox 2.2 . I have 2 cards, both PCI-E. Intel i350 and Intel PRO/1000 PT server adapter. But Proxmox web configurator doesn't see igb or e1000e, only e1000. I installed igb-4.0.17, pve-kernel-2.6.32-16-pve_2.6.32-82_amd64.deb, pve-headers-2.6.32-16-pve, libpve-common-perl_1.0-39_all.deb.
The system see them:

# PCI device 0x10ec:0x8168 (r8169)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="bc:5f:f4:47:e6:9a", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x1521 (igb)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="a0:36:9f:0e:03:a9", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth2"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x1521 (igb)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="a0:36:9f:0e:03:a8", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth1"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x100e (e1000)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:07:e9:0b:ee:0b", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth3"

# PCI device 0x8086:0x107d (e1000e)
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:1b:21:a8:95:fc", ATTR{dev_id}=="0x0", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth4"

mainboard asrock z75 pro3. Realtek and Intel pro/1000 MT (e1000) works normally
