I'm running a PBS on Proxmox v8.2.5. It's been running fine since it was first installed last year (I'm a Proxmox noob). Today my backup failed with this message:
Code:
ERROR: backup write data failed: command error: write_data upload error: pipelined request failed: timed out

I also got this error in an associated email:
Code:
vzdump backup status (proxmox.io): backup failed: could not activate storage 'pvebackup': pvebackup: error fetching datastores - 500 Can't connect to 192.168.1.204:8007 (No route to host

The Proxmox console shows my PBS VM with an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle. If I hover over the VM name I get "Status: io-error". I am unable to shutdown the PBS VM - I get:
Code:
()
TASK ERROR: VM quit/powerdown failed - got timeout

The IP address of the PBS machine (192.168.1.204) does not respond to ping requests.

Any ideas for how to diagnose/resolve this?

I finally managed to reset and shutdown the PBS VM, but when I restart it I can't get past this screen (and it is not accepting any keyboard input)
