Cannot reset/reboot VM while backup is running

Not sure if this belongs here or in PBS section, but during backup I rebooted my VM, the console now stays black and I am unable to reset the VM.



Now since the backup is still running, I understand the lock, but since a snapshot was created shouldn't I be able to just reboot/reset the VM or is this by design?

After the backup finished I could reset the VM, still not sure if this was a fluke or not.

The lock is probably there to prevent any backup-breaking changes, like migrating to a different host or storage for example, but a lock is an all-or-nothing kind of deal in proxmox for VM's as far as I know
