Hi.

i have a monitor attached to my proxmox server via vga. I get the normal boot menu (grub) and can see it boot but at the end of the boot process the vga monitor just has lines through it. I think it’s trying to boot to a gui that’s too high res for the monitor.

ive locked myself out of the web console playing with a network setting (I think) so I have no way of getting a console up to fix it. Can someone please give me some BASIC noob instructions how to boot to a character mode console?
I’ve read about a “vga=normal’ boot option but I’ve no idea where or how to put it ...

Hi,

Proxmox VE in the default installation has no Desktop installed, so I guess you have a display diver problem.

To help you I should know how do you boot?
With GRUB (Blue Window were you choose the kernel) or systemd-boot (Black/Gray Window were you choose the kernel).

I have the same issue. Once proxmox boots up the console is scrambled. There must be a setting for this?
