Hello,

I'm prett ynew to Proxmox, but like it a lot.

I created a ZFS of 2x 2TB HDDs as RAID0 (no important data). I can see the drive in pve and datacenter. In pve it states 3.57TB of 3.63TB free and 55GB allocated. I also see it in the pve node as available BUT usage is 99.5%.

When I try to add the disk to the new Ubuntu VM,I get the message that there is not enough space.

I deleted the only partition on the ZFS via fdisk - but still the same.

What is the best procedure to delete/clean the data (no clue, as it is empty right now) of the ZFS to allocate the whole storage space to the VM?

Sure I could quickly partition both drives with Gparted and create a new ZFS, but I would like to learn better what to do in such a situation.

Thanks
Alexander

You can't bring the ZFS pool into the VM. What you can do is to create a 4TB pool and create a virtual HDD (zvol) that is a little bit smaller and use that inside the VM.

If you want to clear the disks you can use fdisk and remove all partitions. Then you can use the GUI to create a new pool with them.
