Can I use a tmp directory on my PBS rather than on each host?

I have a three node Proxmox cluster and I'm about to build a Proxmox Backup Server. One problem I have currently is that I don't have a drive large enough on each host to actually hold the temp files before they are written to my Synology. So, I'm wondering if it's possible to use a single tmp folder on PBS rather than installing a 512gb drive in each host just for temp files. Or am I missing something?
