Can Clonezilla take a Proxmox VM and clone it to several laptops?

I have a VM Image (Lubuntu) which I want to clone onto several Laptops, I update and do all the admin stuff I need to on that 1 VM in Proxmox.

While I know I can do Laptop to Laptop I was wondering if I can do Proxmox VM to Laptop?

Oh, And is it possible to make an ISO out of a VM in Proxmox?

I've done it in the other direction without any problems.

USB to SATA adapter (connect the hdd to be cloned)

Clonezilla ISO mounted in the VM (I use Parted Magic)

USB to SATA adapter connect to the VM

and then hald cloned from the hdd to the virtual VM hdd

Works for me without problems, should also work in the other direction without problems.

under Windows it could have driver troubles but I would just test it

I clonezilla'd proxmox a week or two ago, when I upgraded the ssd's of the rpool.

I originally did it using macrium, but thats a tool designed for windows and it missed the hidden grub stuff (even though it still booted on efi with proxmox-boot-tool, my OCD wanted perfected clone).

I then used clonezilla for the first time, I did it in expert mode, made sure to keep the hidden partition stuff enabled, and I disabled all things related to resizing partitions. I also enabled the forensic sector by sector clone because of ZFS (might not have been needed, but I felt was good idea as even though clonezilla may have native ZFS support, dont know if its matching feature set/version).

It worked perfect. I did any partition resizing I wanted after the clone manually.
