i had 2 entries for Notification Target:
1) default sendmail
2) my own mailserver with smtp, Testmal working
After setting up the smtp i had disabled the default entry #1, but fogot to change the target in notification matcher section.
Emails had still been delivered via sendmail#1, which had been disabled.
I had changed the target and everything was fine, but enable/disable at Notification Target seems not have any affect.
