we use layer 3 network switches , and vlans are set up on those.

using a switch set up with vlans , my quesiton is:
Should ' VLAN aware' be set on vmbr0 ?

If you nic (only some old fimware version do not) support it, I would use it.
It reduce the complexity and is increase the performance a bit.
IHMO the handling is nicer and you have not for every VLAN an own bridge what can confuse.
