Boot Issue - Stuck at "Initial Loading RAM" on Proxmox 8.2.7

Dear ALL

I am experiencing an intermittent boot issue with my Proxmox server running version 8.2.7. When I boot the server, it generally proceeds as expected, displaying the splash screen, loading the initial RAM, polling drives, and finally reaching the normal login screen.

However, on two occasions, the boot process has stalled at the "initial loading RAM" stage and did not progress further. I attempted troubleshooting with resources from YouTube and Google but, ultimately, was unable to resolve the issue and had to rebuild my system both times.

I am considering upgrading my subscription to one that allows direct support access. Before doing so, I wanted to inquire here to see if there are any recommendations or known issues related to this behavior.

System Details:

  • Proxmox Version: 8.2.7
  • Kernel Version: Linux 6.8.12-2-pve (2024-09-05T10:03Z)
  • Boot Mode: EFI (Secure Boot)
  • CPU: 32 x AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core Processor (1 Socket)
  • Memory: 192 GB DDR5 RAM (4 x 48 GB Corsair CMK96GX5M2B5600C40 modules) configured at 3600 MT/s
  • Motherboard: ASUS ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI (Rev 1.xx)
  • BIOS Version: 0505
  • Manager Version: pve-manager/8.2.7/
Any insights or suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Alex
