Boot a VM from a USB flash drive instead of a disk image?

I would like to virtualize my unRAID installation, which requires the use of (and direct access to) a physical USB flash drive rather than a virtual disk image. Is it possible to do this in Proxmox/KVM?

As far as I know the SeaBios does not support USB-booting. You could try this method I made work for VMWare Player: http://www.singer-systems.de/usb-boot-for-vmware-player/
