Bond Types and Switch Aggregated

I have a Bond0 that has the management switch and IP addresses against it. I always create an additional management port on an unused nic port if I can - and this has gotten me out of trouble.

However -

I have LACP aggregates on the switch and Proxmox is unable to talk.
So I have tried different bond types - I can get the VMBR to work for hosted VM's - and oddly I can connected to the management network via security VPN and manage the device.
But other devices on the management network cannot see the Proxmox Host management through this bond. So odd.

I guess I shall create a seperate management port - and let the VMBR0 use the bond with no management.

Does anyone know whats causing this / has seen this before?

It would be easy of the LACP aggs option worked - but this is the least effective. Oh its in balance-tlb at the moment which no aggs on the switch

Sharing actual bond configuration from both sides would help the community to better understand your situation.

Beyond that, have you done anything to troubleshoot "unable to talk" symptom?
cat /proc/net/bonding/bond0
ip -s link show bond0
ip -s link show ethX
tcpdump -i ethX -nn ether proto 0x8809
