[SOLVED] Black Screen at install of PVE

Hello everyone

I'm trying to install PVE 5.2 (also tried with 5.1 and 5.0) on a Mac Pro 1,1.
I boot from USB and choose install but I get a black screen after it is initializing the ramdisk. Also tried with the debug option but same issue there. (I Used ISO-Mode, DD-Mode and burnt it to a CD as well)

Could this maybe be a hardware/compatibility related issue ? Or is there any other thing I could try?

Specs:
2x Intel Xeon X5355
16GB ECC-Ram
nVidia GeForce 7300 GT

Hi,

try to boot with nomodeset
I guess it is a problem with the nVidia card and you must install the driver.

Thanks, that worked for me.
Now I just have to figure out how I make it to install the EFI bootloader...
