Black screen after loading the installer

I have a dell poweredge1750 and when i boot the installer and select install the screen goes black and wont change.

which version of Proxmox iso are you trying to install? do you have an extra graphic card on the server?

what happens if you hit enter after goes black screen?

Hey,

I've tried the newest one and 3.0 both dont work it has 2 vga ports one on the back and one on the front i did noet try the front one yet

as a workaround you can install Proxmox VE on the Debian Buster [0]

I too was seeing a black screen when installing on a Dell / Wyse 5070 for PVE 7.2.

As a work around I used the advanced options menu option and walked through the install in debug mode - you have to ctrl+d many times; but it worked I would get the standard linux text log output and then the proxmox install UI.

I am not sure this will work. I am facing a similar issue on a Dell Optiplex 7040, the kernel just won't boot. I installed Debian Bullseye, the moment I reboot after the Proxmox install, the PVE kernel refused to boot, the original Debian kernel still works.
