biggest disk on your vm

Just assigned an additional 21TB disk image to rocky8.8 vm, did a fs, mount and works but maybe that's not even not enough you want to hear ... :)

Hi there :)

Yes i would like to know what is an acceptable size otherwise I might use a network share for a VM so in the event of VM restoration and backup, it would be much faster.
Doesn't that largely depend on what you are planning to do with the VM in question?

yes and no actually. my main concern is the time taken to restore in the event of disaster especiallty when using huge size vm disk. For such I could mitigate it by having the OS on the VM disk and data on a network share (NFS/SMB).

That seems sensible. :) But I would still think about what it is you want to do with the VM so you can optimally allocate resources.
