I have a mini PC with 4 ports to use it as an edge firewall. When installing Proxmox, they appear as enp2s0, enp3s0, enp4s0, and enp5s0.
To configure the firewall, I distribute the ports as follows in the virtual bridges:
- WAN: enp2s0 mapped to vmbr1
- LAN: enp3s0, enp4s0, and enp5s0 mapped to vmbr0
Is it correct to do it this way, or is it better to map each port to a different virtual bridge?
