I am running Proxmox 2.1 and have created several backups in .tar.lzo format. I would like to be able to extract one of the archives in order to retrieve an individual folder/file from it.
What is the best way to do this? What I am mainly looking for is a method to extract the backup without first extracting to a .tar file, but even more importantly I need it to extract the backup without taking up the entire virtual size of the backed up virtual hard drive (ex. the VM I am backing up has a virtual hard drive of 100GB but it is only 20% full and I don't want the extracted backup to take up 100GB, it should only take up 20GB)
