I was reading the documentation about the Verify All button.
I noticed this recommendation:

Use ECC RAM and ZFS with mirroring or raidz as your backup storage and create a monthly scrub cron job. That way bit rot shouldn't be a problem because it gets detected and fixed if bit rot occures.
