Hi everyone,
I'm currently running a Proxmox setup with two hosts (a third one is planned) and a central Lenovo DE4000H storage system. My goal is to connect this storage to the Proxmox cluster in a way that enables live migration and high availability (HA) for both Linux and Windows VMs.
The storage is redundantly connected to each host via SAS.
At the moment, I'm using GlusterFS with the DE4000H mounted on top as a shared directory in the Proxmox cluster, but it's causing issues and I’m currently unable to migrate VMs to the storage.
Now, I'd like to transition to a more centralized and robust setup using the storage directly.
What would be the best practice to connect the Lenovo DE4000H to the Proxmox cluster in this case?
Should I use LVM, LVM-Thin, ZFS over multipath, or something else entirely?
I'm grateful for any advice, suggestions, or experience you might have!
Thanks in advance!
