Hi All,
I've been trying to set up proxmox for some time. I finally managed to get it to install after buying a new Perc h710 and flashing it to IT mode, and it was woking for a few days just fine. But when I rebooted, it now seems to ether freeze at the "Initializing .../ " screen (prior to the CTRL+C configuration utility), or when it does get past that, It cant find the drives. When the server did boot, all drives showed healthy and working, so I don't think the issue is with the drives itself
I've been struggling for some time to get it all to work, and I do believe the issue is with the RAID card not picking up the drives. Multiple reboots back to back don't help ether.
I was wondering if a SATA PCI card would be better, I have 8 drives total and my MB doesn't have that many SATA ports so Im thinking a ACTIMED PCIE SATA Card 8 Port would do the trick. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Motherboard says its a "Supermicro X8DT3/i/(-(LN4)(F))" for reference. Any help is appreciated as I'm a bit of newb in the server/hardware area.
