Best 2 host strategy

Hello

Can someone tell me, if there is a better solution for the following situation:
My idea is to setup 2 host machines with 4 vm's.
Every vm should be on both hosts and the whole datastore of both hosts should be synced.
Every vm would just run on 1 host at a time.
So that if one host crashs, i just can start the 2 vm's on the second host.

Host 1:
- vm1 started
- vm2 started
- vm3 stopped
- vm4 stopped

Host 2:
- vm1 stopped
- vm2 stopped
- vm3 started
- vm4 started

How is it if i would build a cluster with this 2 hosts and the master or the node fails?

We partly use that, There is plenty of help on the forum to answer questions.

The difference in our set up is that we only let one host run the kvm's .
