Hello,

Trying to figure out a way to install 9nodes with Proxmox VE. All servers are similar & equipped with 8 x 1TB Entreprise SSD.
Does this mean that i have to exclude 1 SSD at least or replace it with SAS drive or smaller SSD ?
Is it safe to install proxmox on a single drive or should i at least use Raid1 ?

The storage is unrelated to quorum if that what you're after here (8 vs. 9).

You should always use redundancy, but using 1 TB drives just for PVE is a total waste. You normally only use at most 10 GB for PVE itself (excluding everything virtualization related).

What storage are you planing to use? CEPH? Maybe you should add two smaller enterprise SSDs (at most 120 GB) or two small (probably used) SAS drives for the OS. Depends all on your use case.
