Backup to USB

Hi,

I am trying to move all my VMs to new PVE server. Easiest I thought would be backup to USB stick/drive and move to the new PVE server.

I although have an issue mounting the USB drive correctly, not sure if the problem is with filesystem (tried formatting with NTFS, FAT, even tried from cli with linux partition tools) or me doing something wrong within PVE console.

At the host level in console, under Disks I can see the USB drive being visible. Do I then need to add/create a directory under the Datacenter/Storage level, if so, which one?
I've tried couple of options but then when trying to Backup a VM, it doesn't show up in options to backup to.

Very vague information, I had few weeks off not looking at it. Is there any guide that can take me through the configuration?

That method should still be OK.
