backup to proxmox backup server using dns

Hi everyone.
First let me wish you and your families an happy new year 2022.

I try to explain my issue as well as possible.

I want to make a backup job from a pve running machine to a proxmoxbackup server.
I configured my datastore in the PBS store well
I tried to configure and add a new storage point in datacenter using add proxmox backup server in the PVE.
My problem is that the PBS is behind a modem with other servers with the port 8007 already in use.
So i redirect my PBS on the 8008 port.
I can reach it from the internet by dns proxmoxpbs:8008 but in the configuration of the PVE it doesn't allow to affect a port number in the server name.
Can you explain me how to do to configure the datasheet well to reach my PBS with dns.

it should work, if you are using a recent enough version, i.e. pve-manager >= 7.0-14. Otherwise, you can either use pvesm add pbs <storage ID> --server <server> --port <port> <other options> or manually edit /etc/pve/storage.cfg (see here for an example).

Hi, thanks a lot for your response and appologise for my late answer.
I finaly decide to configure my router with the port 8007 for the proxmox backup server and all was fine work.
Just needed to change an other port of server.
