So, the VMs 100,104 and 111 was at offline state, 106 is online.
All offlined VMs is not backuped, but 106 - is ok.

I was try to backup VM 100 manualy, and get:
Code:
[FONT=tahoma]INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump 100 --remove 0 --mode snapshot --compress lzo --storage nas3-backup --node cl02-n05[/FONT]

[FONT=tahoma]INFO: Backup job finished with errors[/FONT]

"ERROR: empty device list" - what is it?

Any Idea?

Aha!

Interesting moment.
All my offline VMs have disks with option "no backup".
Now, I was remove "no backup" check fro one of disk, and start backup.

Hehe, backup was started:
INFO: starting new backup job: vzdump 100 --remove 0 --mode snapshot --compress lzo --storage nas3-backup --node cl02-n05
INFO: Starting Backup of VM 100 (qemu)

INFO: stopping kvm after backup task
INFO: archive file size: 5.38GB
INFO: Finished Backup of VM 100 (00:15:12)
INFO: Backup job finished successfully
TASK OK

So, is it "bug" or "feature"?

Hello staff !

I've got the same problem that eugenyh,
How could i resolve this issue because it's not allright in my log files.

This is the detail of my issue :
INFO: Starting Backup of VM 2000 (qemu)
INFO: status = running
INFO: exclude disk 'virtio0' (backup=no)
INFO: backup mode: snapshot
INFO: ionice priority: 7
INFO: creating archive '/backups/dump/vzdump-qemu-2000-2013_04_04-03_51_32.vma.gz'
ERROR: empty device list
INFO: aborting backup job
ERROR: Backup of VM 2000 failed - empty device list
INFO: Backup job finished with errors
TASK ERROR: job errors

If i make a backup of this VM, there is no problem.
I don't want backup this VM but have a clean log when i check my VM everyday (instead of seen "Error : job error")

Thanks a lot in advance !

the only stupid question is the one you do not ask, i was told. anyways thanks for posting this thread. we had a backup error and there was an exact string match. 1-st search result.
