When I first started using PBS a while back, I didn't know better and never setup a namespace in the datastore for my cluster. All backups currently just go to the root namespace. This works fine but is likely not the correct way to set things up.
Now I have a separate PVE host that is not part of the cluster. I would like to backup the few VMs I have there to my PBS server as well.
1. Can I just add a namespace in my PBS server just to backup that host while my cluster backs up to the root namespace? Will this cause problems?
2. I currently run a push sync job that sends the root namespace to another PBS server. Would that sync job include the sub-namespaces or would I need to make a separate sync job for those?
Just trying to figure out the best way to handle my current setup and understand better instead of just blindly experimenting and potentially breaking my setup. I'd prefer to leave it as is than break my existing backups if I have to.
