backup help

I guess i didint quite think this through when i setup everything. I 3 servers with a 32gig SSD and a 1.4TB ISCSI drive shared on them. I dont ahve any other space than the 1.4TB LVM. I already have KVM's installed on that drive. How do you suggest that i make a partition on the drive to be able to have a place for backups? I'm just worried that if i make a partition that it will destroy any data i currently have on the raw space.

any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Backing up to the same iSCSI device is not much of a backup anyway.

I suggest you get another disk, eSATA or USB would be good.
Backup to that, ensure to disconnect it from the server and from power once the backup is completed. (lightening happens)
