Hi,
I am very new to Proxmox and server maintenance in general. I have temporarily inherited responsibility for ensuring nightly backups run successfully on our Cluster running on Proxmox VE version 4.4-12,
I did not set this cluster up so please be gentle! If there is any information missing I would be happy to provide it.
Within our cluster we have two nodes, each containing several VMs. Under 'Disks' on each node I can see that they both have two backup locations, a large external USB disk and a hard disk, both of which are several Terabytes in size.
In our first node, I can see two storage locations set up, one for USB and one for HDD. These are both set up to the max size of the physical devices they correspond to.
On our second node, we have three storage locations set up. The third one appears to correspond to the HDD and is set to the max disk size.
However the first two storage locations are set to around 450GB and are now not large enough to even store one day of backups for each VM. This is resulting in broken pipe errors in our log files and backup failures for the whole node.
If I try to set up a backup schedule to back up all VMs on the second node to it's larger HDD location, when I save and then go back in to the backup task schedule menu, the storage location switches itself back to one of the first two smaller storage locations.
Would anybody here be able to talk me through expanding the size or removing and re-adding these storage locations?
Thanks
