Backing up VMs with Configuration to Restore to New Instance of Proxmox?

Hey All -

What are the best practices associated with backing up a VM including its associated configuration and disk? In VMWare, it was an easy export in a zip file containing all that information but am unsure how to do it with Proxmox.

Hello, the best practice is run a Proxmox Backup Server, once you have it, just backup the vms in Proxmox A, then restore those backups in Proxmox B, it is really easy, PBS must be an external host (not a vm inside Proxmox) saludos!

Is it possible to also backup the Proxmox VM Server itself using PBS?
