Fellow techies,
I want to be able to do an 'on demand' tape backup job of a couple of folders on our Synology NAS (running DSM 7) to the tape library running with our PBS. What's the best way to go about connecting to the Synology unit to do this?

A couple of things I've considered:
- Setting up a Debian VM on the NAS, mounting the necessary folders as shares, and running Proxmox Backup Client (seems like overkill).
- Making the folders on the Synology available as NFS shares and letting PBS access them directly? (Is this even possible?)
