I have a PBS with 1 main datastore and 2 removable datastores (backup1 and backup2). I have a daily sync job for both datastores but only one is connected each day and the other stays offsite. A verification task is scheduled to start a few hours after the backup. It's working fine to unmount manually but as a small company if I go on vacation no one else will be able to do the backups.
I'm wondering if anyone could give me some help writing a script that would unmount the removable datastore that's mounted for that day when a verification task is completed on that drive. I'm also unsure of where this script should be placed on the PBS. As a bonus it would be nice to be able to send an email when the drive is successfully unmounted to notify the user that it's safe to unplug the drive.
