when installing / configuring Windows 11 pro / Windwos 2025 Server on Proxmox 9, I repeatedly / constantly receive the following message :

WARNING: iothread is only valid with Virtio disk or Virtio SCSI single controller, ignores
swtpm_setup: Existing status file is not overwritten.
kvm: Guest storage cannot be set up. “pc.ram”: Memory cannot be allocated
Termination of the SWTPM instance (PID 5428) due to a QEMU start error
TASK ERROR: Start failed: QEMU was terminated with code 1

Does anyone have an idea for error prevention / elimination?

bitte nicht mehrfach posten (insbesondere ist das andere im Englisch-sprachigen Teil ). Bitte deine Posts editieren und die externen Links entfernen, das muss sonst als Spam gelöscht werden!

Zu den Fehlermeldungen:

kvm: CPU model 'host' requires KVM or HVF

Um CPU-Typ host zu benutzen, muss KVM Hardware Virtualization bei den VM-Optionen eingeschaltet sein und auch im BIOS vom Host.

kvm: cannot set up guest memory 'pc.ram': Cannot allocate memory

Klingt, als wäre der VM mehr Speicher zugewiesen, als am Host vorhanden ist.
