Hi all!
Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to solve it. There are two proxmox clusters. One cluster (cluster A) was updated from version 5 to 8, the other (cluster B) was initially already version 7. I noticed that in order to forward a USB device to a virtual machine (cluster A), you need to reboot the machine to accept the changes. When forwarding USB to a virtual machine (cluster B), the changes are applied immediately.
How to automatically update the configuration of a virtual machine when forwarding devices without rebooting?
Tnx all!

is the 'hotplug usb' option activated in the options panel of the vm?

do you get an error when adding a device? can you post the versions (pveversion -v) of both clusters and a vm config of each (qm config ID) ?
can you also maybe show with screenshots (or similar) what exactly you are doing?

Hello! Sorry for the long response.
Cluster_A - device pathtrough work only after reboot vm.

So USB Device (usb0) will be forwarded after rebooting the VM
