API or CLI ?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if Proxmox has any sort of API or CLI scripts i can execute via SSH? I just want to make a few simple scripts so i can automate reboots and check status's and few other things and maybe if there's a API i can do creating VM's etc

If not, i guess the easiest way would be to just SSH into the master and reboot using "vzctel restart VEID" ?

There is no API, so using vtctl is a good idea.
