Hi all,
I've passed through the Intel Iris Xe graphics on my i5-12600H to a Debian VM. The goal is to utilise Intel Quick Sync within the VM for video transcoding. All is working as expected on that front.
The issue is, when I start the VM, I lose the host HDMI video output. Which makes sense given the driver is switching from i915 to vfio-pci.
Is there any way to maintain the host HDMI output whilst utilising the Quick Sync capabilities within the VM? I'm concerned that in a situation involving a loss of network connectivity, I'll have no way to recover the host.
Thanks in advance.
