Any drawbacks/limitations using a PCIe to dual/quad NVMe M.2 card without bifurcation, for ZFS raid 1 for OS/VM?

I'm about to get two new drives (Micron 7450) for VM and container storage, but my motherboard only has one NVMe slot, so I need to buy a PCIe card. My motherboard doesn't support bifurcation either, so I need one with a built-in switch.

I plan to run the disks in ZFS raid 1 for OS and VM storage. Will I be limited by something by having the disks on a PCIe card (other than perhaps speed)? Any features that aren't supported when running them like that?
