Hello,
I am new in the virtual world and want to implement new projects in virtual machines. One of these project is to pass a DVBSky S952 TV card to the guest system. And other projects are building a NAS with openmediavault, smarthome with FHEM and Owncloud.
My hardware: HP Microserver G7 N54L and I can enable AMD Secure Virtual Machine (SVM) in the bios. I guess it is the older one of AMD-V.
The question is... are these projects possible with this hardware?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

no AMD-V is the trademark ov SVM so they are the same.
This means you can do Hardware Virtualisation for your DVBSky project you need AMD-VI.

Thank you very much for your comment.
Very sad. The HP N54L doesn´t support AMD-VI. So I have to buy new hardware. Or is there another possibility?
