Has anyone been able to migrate AWS over to PVE as a virtual machine? I'm currently running AWS on vmware and would like to migrate it to PVE and wondered if anyone has had success doing this. AWS is closed as far as access goes, so no installing qemu agent as far as i know...

thoughts?

QEMU agent is an optional piece of software that adds convenience but is perfectly fine to live without.

Code:
Where can I deploy an AWS Storage Gateway appliance?
On-premises, you can deploy a virtual machine containing the Storage Gateway software on VMware ESXi,
Microsoft Hyper-V, or Linux KVM, or you can deploy Storage Gateway as a hardware appliance.
You can also deploy the Storage Gateway VM in VMware Cloud on AWS, or as an AMI in Amazon EC2.

According to the above ^ KVM is supported, so you should be fine.
