Today i've been updating from pve 7 to pve 8.
However after the upgrade and reboot I'm getting this error.
All seems to work but not sure if i can remove things like apparmor.

How is the disk and file system doing? Those are worrying. Check the journal of there are any I/O errors reported by the kernel.
journalctl --grep 'I/O'

Update: I removed several files mentioned with the IO error.
After that when running apt autoremove it asked to place the default version.
This is what I did and now all works. Currently running a long smartctl test
