After Upgrade to 3.4, node offline

Hello,

I just upgraded from 3.1 to 3.4 (with apt).
All VMs work fine, however the "main" node (no cluster configured) is shown offline in the GUI.
The VMs appear only as VM ID in server view, there is no description shown. They are also shown as not running, even though they are running.
(detail views of the VMs are normal)
What is worse, I cannot create a new VM because "Node nodeName seems to be offline!" is shown and the "Next" button is greyed out in the "Create VM" dialogue.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Dies it help if you restart pvestatd

# service pvestatd stop
# service pvestatd start

I have tried that already, unfortunately it doesn't resolve the problem.
Rebooting the machine also didn't help...
