Hello,

after a few weeks using proxmox, our old servers are nearly all migrated and run virtualized now :-)
(even a windows 2008 R2 server is running smoothly!)

But now, trying to migrate another linux machine to a VM, I got some errors...

After backing up the whole harddisk through CloneZilla and restoring the data on the VM disk, the VM doesn't start.
I saw in the CloneZilla-Screen on the physical host, that CloneZilla said something about GPT partitions...

Are there any special steps to do for a GPT partitioned virtual Disk?

The only idea I have - in case - is to do a backup of each hd-partition seperatly and do a manual fdisk on the VM-disk and restore the partitions one by one.

Thanks in advance,
Susanne.

Ok, I rewrote the partition-table and reinstalled the grub bootloader via the debian rescue mode and everything seems to work fine now.
