[SOLVED] After adding fourth node HA cluster goes crazy

Yesterday I installed PVE4.4 on a fourth computer to add it to my (HA) cluster of three computers.

After adding the updated computer to my cluster, the cluster immediately went 'crazy'. Nodes unavailable in the web gui, vm's and containers stopping and starting.
As soon as everything was up again the whole sequence started again . . .

After shutting down the fourth machine and deleting it from the cluster, the dust settled and everything is running smoothly again.

What the h*** happened here, anybody?

this sound like a network problem
Can you describe your Network setting.
Do you test if the new node is able to use multicast?
 
I will retrace my steps bij installing PVE on that machine again. How do I test multicasting ability?
 
Well I checked multicast on my three nodes, found that one of them had a wrong ip-adress / hostname combination (node #3 had the correct hostname with ip-address of node #4 . . . ).

After correcting that I added the freshly installed and updated node #4 to the cluster.

Checked multicast and the problem is gone!
