Hello Everyone,

I added a disk to my proxmox. by using the pvecreate command and the vgcreate and now it is showing up in the storage list. How ever when I try to do a backup it is not showing as an option. I wanted to add it so that I can do backups on a seperate disk and not eat up the storage for the vms. I have attached a screen shot for you to view.

I am new to Proxmox to be honest although I do understand it pretty well, I just don't know my way around it yet.

Thanks for your help guys,

Click on datacenter leaf of the tree, go to storage, select the storage you want, click edit and then at the drop-list select backup.
This way you configure a storage as backup capable ( you can also select how many backup instances per vm can pe stored. )
