Adding Device to Proxmox Cluster

I have a bit of a problem. I have installed proxmox on 2 mini pc's and I am trying to add them to a cluster. When I paste in the join information into the Web UI for the second node, I get this error message:

Establishing API connection with host '192.168.4.71'
Login succeeded.
check cluster join API version
No cluster network links passed explicitly, fallback to local node IP '192.168.4.72'
Request addition of this node
An error occurred on the cluster node: can't add existing node 'proxmox'
TASK ERROR: Cluster join aborted

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This may be caused by a hostname conflict.
Please share the output of the following commands:

hostname
pvecm status

Also, please check journalctl for any messages that appear when you try the operation.
